I recently wrote a post titled, "5 Traditional Medicines to Decrease Stress," and it got me thinking about a few other ways that I love to decrease my stress. Motherhood stress is real. Women are so physically, mentally and emotionally worn out these days that it is no wonder that women are getting sicker at younger ages than they ever have before. This is a sad reality when you think that we are living in the 21st century with more modern convenience than ever!! Oftentimes, a woman is running around doing both the work of a man and a woman. Then, we wonder why she is so stressed out, depressed and unhappy. Here are 3 things that I do in a moment of high stress...

I walk outside and lay in the sun for fifteen minutes. This sounds simple, right? It is simple, and it is effective. The sun has so many incredible healing benefits!! Recently, I listened to an interview about sunlight, and the doctor gave a scientific explanation of the thing that I have always experienced when being outdoors in the sunshine.
Such a great interview! https://youtu.be/wQJlGHVmdrA?feature=shared
I will go into my room and do "NSDR." This has actually been a part of my daily routine and not just when I am stressed out. Do it and you will know why!
The last thing is an age-old remedy: Chamomile Tea. I will make myself a cup of tea and sip it with my feet elevated. I breathe deeply, inhale the steam as I drink the tea, and I will pray some prayers of thanksgiving. Gratitude is a huge key to a peaceful, happy life. At the very least, I would recommend finding five things that you are grateful for in your life. Life can be hard, but it is also SO good.
