Newborn & Baby "Must -Haves"
This page could be an endless post with the endless choices for baby items. I tried to whittle it down to the ones that I prioritize with each of my babies. Hopefully, this list is helpful to you!

I tried co-sleeping with my first and ended up not sleeping at all. I was never able to get in to a deep sleep because I was so afraid of rolling over on the baby. I get that not all women are like this, but this was my experience. We found this Bassinet when I was pregnant with my third child and it was such a game-changer! I was able to sleep much more and feel comfortable that my child was safe.
Baby clothing - an endless assortment. After five children, I have narrowed my "must-have" baby clothing items down a great deal. Sure, there are SO many adorable outfits out there and one ought to make sure that they indulge in those once or twice. However, I have become a much more practical mother when it comes to my newborn's things. Here is a list of my favorites that get reused over and over again!
Short-Sleeve Onesie - Pajamas with Mitten Cuffs - Sleeper gown - Knotted Gown
Footed Pajamas - other Footed Pajamas - Outerwear
Many of these items made it through several children before I had to throw them away, so they wash and wear super well. Plus, I love cotton clothing for children and try to buy that as much as possible. It is so much better for their skin and overall health!

The next topic is sleep. Of course, you will not be getting much of it in the first few weeks with your new little one, but you'll survive; you are stronger than you think. When the baby does sleep however, we like to keep the baby asleep as best we can so a Sound Machine is a "must-have" for us. I bought this exact product three times for three different rooms and it works so great! My children love many of the sounds of this particular sound machine.

Child safety is a topic that every good parent considers. From baby monitors to car seats, I have linked my favorite products that have served my family well. These are reliable brands in their industry and I could not tell you a single negative thing that I have experienced with these products!

Cozy baby blankets — is there anything more essential!? In our family, we are a little obsessed with cozy items: cozy sweaters, cozy slippers and, of course, cozy blankets. I have been through many baby blankets, whether I have been gifted or bought them. As you might guess, I am pretty picky when it comes to the blankets that I like to wrap my babies in. Here are my top favorites; they are affordable, adorable and so cozy!!
Burt's Bees blanket is a pretty thick blanket. Lulu Moon is a lighter option, but still cozy.
This Blanket is a soft minky blanket that is of medium weight. Plus, a few Swaddles are always good to have on hand.

Here are a few miscellaneous mentions.
- None of my babies ever really preferred a pacifier, but I always like to have one on hand when we go out and about, especially to places like church.
-I had a few babies that were so bad about scratching their face and their nails seemed to grow faster than I could trim them. So, having these baby mittens was great!
-Once I begin introducing solids to my baby (around 6 months old), I love using my silicone feeder. I have used them for all sorts of food, but fruit is definitely the favorite!
-Muslin cotton has become my favorite material for many baby items, especially towels, burp cloths and bibs. This material is so soft and does not seem to stain very easily. I just love it!
Of course, diaper balm is a must-have item. I love many of Earth Mama's products and this balm is great! We all love products that are natural and effective for our child and this is one of them!
