    Henna Your Hair!

    Updated: Mar 18

Is it time for a makeover? Does your hair need a new look? Does your hair feel dry and brittle? I have the answer to all of these questions. Henna. Henna is a natural dye from the dried, powdered leaves of the Lawsonia inermis plant. This plant has been used for centuries in body art, hair coloring and fabric dyeing. While standard hair dye options strip your hair, causing breakage, henna coats the hair, providing protection from environmental stressors.

Many of my family and friends have applied henna to our hair for years. Personally, because I live in a dry, windy climate, it is the only thing I will do to color my hair. However, a colorless henna can also be purchased if your desire is just to provide a protective coating for your hair, but not to color it.

Out of all the brands that we women have used over the years, there is one brand that stands out over the rest: Henna King. I am not getting paid to promote them I just simply believe that their product is the best. While it is a bit messy to use (like all henna and hair dyes), Henna King has the truest and best colors, and it lasts a super long time in the hair compared to the other brands that we have used.

Henna King offers a variety of natural, warm-toned colors. However, I will caution you to do your research. Henna does not lighten the hair, only darkens it or adds highlights. Choose your color wisely as we have had an "orange-haired" result once or twice. 😂But, that is usually happened with a henna that has red or copper tones.

Here is a link to Amazon, where I usually purchase my henna.  https://amzn.to/3KVeZvF

    Happy hair dyeing!!!😁
