I am a mom who lives traditionally in this modern world. I appreciate efficient, affordable, lasting products that enhance the home environment and aid me in my work to raise intelligent, virtuous children and create a beautiful home. As a wife and mother who desires to uphold an atmosphere of peace, joy and learning, I love finding pieces that make this possible.

In my family, we read voraciously! So often throughout the day I find one of my children curled up in some corner with a stack of books. Whether it's my toddler who loves looking at them, or my early reader who is caught in the middle of their imagination, my children absolutely devour books. Part of our homeschooling involves me reading aloud to them at least once a day for a 30-minute period. Recently, I discovered a series of books that I absolutely love!

The Classic Starts Series

Why do I love these books? Well, I will tell you. First, many of them are classic stories on the great books list and I believe that they are rewritten very well. The stories keep all of my older children captivated, while my younger children are still able to follow the basic storyline. The chapters are a great length for the attention span of four to eight-year-old children, and every other chapter or so there is a great picture that depicts a scene of the story. Finally, I have to say that I really enjoy reading these books to my children, and while that is not an absolute must for every story we read to our children, I do believe it is important.
