It is no joke that a mother’s life is typically not a stress-free life. It is wonderful. It is beautiful and so worth it, but it is not stress-free. It becomes imperative then to find ways to manage and decrease our stress. As mothers, we must seek to do this not only for ourselves and our health, but also so that our children can look up and see a mother who is enjoying her life, and not a mother who is constantly reacting to the emotions of stress that her life causes her. Here are five medicinal solutions to stress that my mother taught me to use. I ensure that I am always stocked up and that I do not wait until I am at a breaking point, but I have taught myself to recognize my personal stress patterns and feed my body medicinally before the stress overwhelms me.
