Do you or a loved one struggle with lactose intolerance? Would you like to add a healthy beverage to your children's diet that they will love? Almonds, an excellent source of antioxidants, are very nutrient dense. Among the many health benefits, almonds provide a source of fiber, magnesium and vitamin e, just to name a few!

Ready in 6-8 hours
Makes about 5-6 cups
Ingredients
1 cups of raw almonds
water for soaking
3 cups of water
a pinch of salt
Optional: honey or maple syrup for sweetening
Preparation
Place the almonds in a bowl and add purified water until the water is about 1 inch above the almonds.
Cover the almonds and soak for 6-8 hours or overnight. The longer the almonds soak the creamier the milk will be.
After they are finished soaking, strain and rinse the almonds.
Next, place the almonds, 3 cups of water and a pinch of salt into a blender.
Blend until the mixture is smooth, then strain out the almonds and bottle the milk.
Sweeten the milk with honey or maple syrup, if preferred.
Tips
Enjoy!
The milk will be good in the fridge for at least 3-4 days
