    Mom's Sweet Olive Oil Vinaigrette

This vinaigrette is a favorite in the family. It is quick and easy to make, plus it is loaded with food items that are high in nutrition. In our family, we love when our food is our medicine! I especially love making this vinaigrette to put on a steak salad with walnuts and goat cheese. So yummy!!

    Ready in 5ish minutes

    Serves 4-6 people

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup of olive oil

    • 1/4 cup of balsamic vinaigrette

    • 2 minced garlic cloves

    • 1 tbsp of Dijon mustard

    • 1/4 tsp of onion powder

    • 1 tbsp of thyme

    • 3-5 tbsp of maple syrup or honey. The amount depends on personal preference.

    Preparation

    1. Place all the ingredients into a container and shake the contents until they are combined. And that is it!

    2. Pour over a salad mix of your choice and enjoy!

    Tips

    1. Prepping this dressing the day before allows the ingredients to blend together for a richer, better flavor.

    2. A few times, I have also added about a 1/2 cup of mashed blackberries for a delicious berry twist.
