    Spelt Tortillas

    Updated: Jan 20

This is the quickest bread recipe that my family has on hand. I also love the nutrition that the ancient grain, spelt, gives to my family. On a busy night, when I still want a big, warm meal for my family, I can have chicken fajitas or beef burritos cooked in no time!

    Ready in 30ish minutes

    Serves 12 servings

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups of spelt flour

    • 1 tsp of salt

    • 1/2 cup of warm water

    • 1/4 cup of olive oil

    Preparation

    1. Mix all the ingredients together with a mixer and stir until the dough sticks together.

    2. Take it out of the mixer and knead by hand 3-5 times.

    3. Divide the dough into 12 equal balls and roll out as thinly as you are able.

    4. Heat a skillet on the stove top. No need to grease the skillet.

    5. Once the skillet is hot, cook each tortilla on each side for about 35-45 seconds, or until they are lightly browned on each side.

    Tips

    1. Enjoy!
