Everyone seems to buy guacamole at the store these days. While store-bought guacamole is tasty, sometimes it just isn't as nutritious as homemade guac. Here is a simple guacamole recipe that you can use and tailor to your own liking!

Ready in 5ish minutes
Serves 5-7 people
Ingredients
2 ripe (dark green and squishy-ish) avocados
1/3 cup of minced red onion
1 minced garlic clove
salt and pepper to taste (easy on the salt)
juice from 1 lime
1 tsp of lime zest
Optional: increase the onion to 1/2 an onion; add 1/2 cup of sour cream for a smoother, richer flavor; add chopped tomatoes; add jalapenos for a kick!
Preparation
Cut and pit the avocados, then scrape them into a mixing bowl.
Next, using a fork, mash the avocados until you have reached optimal dipping consistency.
Stir in the rest of the ingredients, tasting as you go along.
Enjoy!
Tips
Start with minimal amounts of salt and then taste frequently if you decide to add more.
Using a blender or food processor will eliminate all of the chunks, if you want a really smooth dip.
