The Montessori Toddler by Simone Davies
Maria Montessori was an Italian doctor, educator, and philosopher who lived in the late 1800s to the early 1900s. She developed what we know today as "The Montessori Educational Method" through scientific observation of children. Maria first worked with children with mental disabilities, developing principles that led to the opening of her school, the Casa dei Bambini (Children's House). Her work focused on a child-centered approach, creating prepared environments with hands-on materials to foster independence, self-discipline, and a love of learning.

I have used Montessori methods and principles since my first child was born. It is a beautiful method and approach to child-rearing. I have had great success in teaching my children discipline and helping them develop in the ways they need to at each stage of childhood. This book below has been my main resource. It is a fantastic book! The Montessori Toddler is well written while also being clear and concise. There are a myriad of ideas for educating your little one, along with charming illustrations.
