    Teaching Obedience

    Pick up your toys. Get dressed. Put your shoes on. Be quiet! Hurry up! Every mother experiences days that seem to be packed full of nagging and instructing. On top of that, we have these little independent humans who have ideas of their own and think that they know what is best. Independence is great, and we want to encourage that, just not minutes before we have to leave for an important appointment. As I reflected upon all of this, realizing in my heart that I do not want to be remembered as "the nagging mother," I called my mom to chat about it.
